On April 18, 2024 the PhD Programme will host Patricia Clavin, professor of modern history at the Worcester College of the University of Oxford. She will give a seminar entitled: “Histories and Futures of the World Order“. The seminar will be held at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, sala Berengo, from 2.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m.

The meeting is chaired by Prof. Laura Cerasi, with Prof. Laura De Giorgi and Francesca Antonini participating as discussants.

The PhD Programme in Historical, Geographical and Anthropological Studies organizes, as part of the program of the advanced disciplinary seminars of modern history, the seminar “Il potere della grazia. La dataria apostolica e le élites europee in età moderna”. The seminar will be held on 27 November 2023 at 3.45 pm in Venice, at Sala Archivio, Ca’ Foscari University.

THe seminar will be held by Bruno Boute and Birgit Emich from Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main.

Il 17 marzo 2022, nell’ambito dei seminari di primavera, il dottorato di Studi storici, geografici e antropologici ospiterà il prof. Martin Conway, dell’Università di Oxford, per il seminario Western Europe’s Democratic Age.

Il seminario si terrà dalle ore 14.30 presso il Dipartimento DiSSGeA, in via del Vescovado, 30, a Padova. Per partecipare è necessario prenotarsi inviando una mail alla segreteria di dottorato. 16.12.2021 PhD Academic Board Representatives Elections

In conjunction with the elections of the Representatives in the Council, elections will be also held for the choice of Representatives within the Academic Board of our PhD Programme.

According to the articles 11 and 13 of the Regulations of the doctoral courses of the University of Padova, 18 candidates will be elected and will remain in office for a year.

The vote will be held from 09:00 to 18:00 on Thursday 16 December 2021, electronically, via the ELIGO platform.

All Phd students who are still active may vote and may be elected. Each voter may express two preferences.
