Teaching

The doctoral program in Historical, Geographical and Anthropological Studies offers a training program for doctoral and post-doctoral students that includes advanced seminar activities for the development of methodological tools for interdisciplinary research, teaching modules aimed at the acquisition of specific skills on languages and tools of scientific research, and cycles of disciplinary seminars that allow doctoral and post-doctoral students to hone their analytical and synthesis skills in their fields of interest. These activities are developed over the four years in which the course is organized, with a gradual decrease in the teaching load and a gradual increase in the empowerment and growth in autonomy of doctoral and postdoctoral students. In addition, the course offers the possibility of attending optional activities, both internally and externally offered, and organizes discussion moments dedicated to the research of doctoral and postdoctoral students.

In internal teaching activities, 1 ECTS corresponds to 6 hours of seminar or lecture activities and the study, reading and processing activities that are required to attend these activities with adequate preparation.

Please find below the mandatory activities for each year of the doctoral program.
